  Following up with Chain Campaigns

Chain Campaigns is used to target the recipients who did not open the previous campaign mail and focus on increasing open rate for those subscribers. It allows you the chance to fine tune the subject/content and send the campaigns specifically to the recipients who did not open the email campaign. 

To create a Chain Campaign

  1. Go to Email Campaigns tab.
  2. Click sent campaign for which you wish to create a chain campaign from the Campaigns List.
  3. Click the Chain icon and select Add Chain Campaign option.

Adhere to the steps which you followed to create a campaign. You can modify the content or the subject according to the needs of the subscribers.  You can create multiple chain campaigns.

Note: You can create a chain campaign even from the Reports tab.

  1. Go to Reports tab--> Sent campaigns page.
  2. Click the intended Campaign.
  3. Click Add Chain Campaign button from the dashboard to proceed.

  Clone Campaign

You can copy the template/content of a campaign and reuse it by cloning the campaign. It saves time and you don't need to start an email campaign from scratch. To clone a Campaign

  1. Go to Email Campaigns tab-->Campaign List.
  2. The clone button will be in the same row as the sent campaign. Select the Clone option for the campaign you wish to clone.
  3. Click the Clone buttonto proceed.
  4. In the pop-up page, enter the Campaign Name & Subject Line.
  5. Click Save button.

Now, your campaign is copied and saved in the draft mode. You may now edit it further, select recipients and send for email review.

  Edit Campaign

  1. Click Email Campaigns tab
  2. Hover on the campaign you want to edit (On the same row, right hand side you will find the edit button)
  3. Click Edit


  1. Click Email Campaigns tab
  2. Click the Campaign to open
  3. Click Edit option available on the right hand side

  Delete Campaign

A campaign can be deleted only when it is in draft mode or after it has been sent.

  1. Click Email Campaigns tab
  2. Hover on the campaign you want to edit (You will find the edit button listed under More Actions)
  3. Click Delete
  4. Click Ok to confirm deletion


  1. Click Email Campaigns tab.
  2. Click the Campaign to open.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Ok to confirm deletion.

Note :Deleting a campaign will automatically delete all related reports.

  Sorting Campaigns by Status

Every email campaign has its own designated status and you can view the current status information of all the email campaigns in your account. It is important to know the meaning of the different statuses:

  • All Campaigns - It’ll list out all the email campaigns created by you irrespective of its status.
  • Drafts – Any email campaign which has been created but not sent is a Draft. A part of the campaign such as configuring the content or adding the mailing list is pending.
  • To Be Reviewed –Your campaign is awaiting review by the anti-spam compliance team.
  • Reviewed – Your campaign has been successfully reviewed and is ready to be sent.
  • Scheduled – Your campaign has been scheduled for sending in accordance with the recipients’ time zone.
  • In Progress – Your campaign is being sent and is in progress. This status is shown when the number of recipients is high.
  • SentYour campaign has been successfully sent to all recipients and the report has been generated.
  • Stopped - Your campaign has been stopped. This occurs chiefly due to two major reasons. It could be either high bounce rate or spam complaints. In such scenarios, it is recommended to contact the support services for further information and assisstance.
  • Canceled – Your campaign could have been cancelled either by you or by SkyDesk Campaigns team. SkyDesk Campaign reserves the right to cancel any content that is against anti-spam policy.
  • Paused – If you feel the campaign has been sent to an incorrect list or wants to send it a later point of time, you can pause the campaign.
  • In Testing – This status is applicable for A/B test campaigns only. It implies that the A/B test is in progress.
